Upcoming Conventions in Atlanta

It’s summer in Atlanta which means convention season is in full swing.  With over 42 million people visiting each year, it’s no wonder why Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport is the busiest in the world.  While providing Atlanta airport shuttle service to our passengers, MTI drivers have caught wind of some upcoming conventions and we’d thought we share them with you.

The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Show will be held July 7-14 at AmericasMart which is centrally located downtown, in the heart of Atlanta.  Featuring events such as “The World of Shabby Chic”, this show will be a decorator’s paradise.  With over 72,000 people expected to attend, traffic may be daunting.  Consider letting us transport you in one of our sleek new Towncar Sedans, so that you can take advantage of the dizzying array of collections being showcased throughout the week, without the traffic headache.  We’ll get you there safely and within your budget.

Speaking of showcases, the 2015 Neighborhood Awards Weekend Expo will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center August 5-9.  Expect a four-day blowout of activities and entertainment including parties, a college expo, seminars, a health pavilion and a live broadcast of The Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey.  Harvey is also the host of the expo, in which 95,000 people are expected to attend.  It’ll be a busy week for us as many will be seeking out limo service in Atlanta for this event.

For the past 47 years, Bronner Bros. has been holding what is now known as the holy grail of hair shows.  This show is for stylists, barbers, retailers and anyone who has any interest in hair.  There is even a competition which features some of the most artistic hairstyles in the world.  Over 22,000 beauty enthusiasts will be attending the 2015 Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show which will be held from August 15-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta will be the place to be as the incredibly popular, weird and wonderful Dragon Con graces our city September 3-6.  Dragon Con is an annual Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention.  Be sure to get your Star Trek gear ready, as this event will feature costume contests, indie films, an art show and a much anticipated parade.  We’ll have our luxury bus fleet, which seats anywhere from 21-59 passengers, ready to provide shuttle service for the over 60,000 cosplayers in attendance.

All of these conventions range from four days to seven days in length. That’s plenty of time to enjoy the convention, but Atlanta has so much more to offer. Make sure you let us know when you’re coming and we’d be happy to take care of your transportation needs for a few days of fun before or after the convention.
